Georgia Tech will kick off the ACC basketball season at home against Miami on January 5. It is the first of 18 conference games that the Yellow Jackets will play this year. The ACC released its conference basketball schedule Wednesday, and the league will host an 18-game schedule for teams for the first time in its history.
The Yellow Jackets have home and away games against preseason favorites N.C. State and North Carolina. Georgia Tech also has home and away games against Clemson, Miami, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and Wake Forest. The Jackets only play Duke once, a road game on Thursday, January 17. Likewise, they only play Florida State once, at home on Tuesday, February 5. The Seminoles are the defending ACC champions.
ESPN will televise Georgia Tech's game in Chapel Hill against the Tar Heels, and either ESPN or ESPN2 will pick up their game in Durham against the Blue Devils. All of Georgia Tech's ACC games will be televised on the ESPN family of networks, the ACC network, or the ACC's regional network, according to the Georgia Tech athletic department.
