It had been a long time since Omoregie Uzzi had taken part in Georgia Tech Football practice. It was actually the end of last season as he sat out all of spring practice recovering from injuries. Uzzi reported no problems on Friday as he took part in Tech's opening practice of the preseason.
"I was excited, excited to get back out there with the guys, everybody here is expecting big things this year."
Earlier this summer Uzzi was named to the Outland and Lombardi Trophy watch lists and was the Yellow Jackets' only selection for the preseason All-ACC team. He is expected to anchor what should be a good offensive line unit that acts as a bulldozer for the triple option offense.
