Georgia Tech Football Preseason: Synjyn Days Working At A-Back

On the first day of preseason football practice, quarterback Synjyn Days spent most of his time practicing with the A-backs and quarterbacks coach Brian Bohannon indicated that Days status would be a day-to-day situation. Head coach Paul Johnson recently said that Days will continue to get work at quarterback but the Yellow Jackets will also look at him at the A-Back position in an effort to get the best players on the field.

"What we're trying to do, as we've always said, is get our best 11 on the field," Bohannon said.

Barring an injury to incumbent quarterback Tevin Washington it would be hard to see Days unseating him as the starter. Vad Lee's presence at backup quarterback could also alleviate some of the coaching staff's concern about having Days at another position should Washington go down for any length of time this season.
