After rebounding from a tough opening week loss at Virginia Tech with a blowout of Presbyterian, Georgia Tech will try to avoid starting ACC play 0-2 when they host Virginia on Saturday.
Optimism is as high as it's been in Charlottesville in a long time, as third-year coach Mike London seems to have the program pointed in the right direction. Their 8-5 mark in 2011 was the Cavaliers best record since 2007.
Virginia is coming off a nail-biting home win over Penn State, as the Nittany Lions missed a last-second field goal to lose 17-16 last Saturday.
They defeated the Yellow Jackets 24-20 at home last year, but for all the progress they've made under London, they're still the type of opponent Georgia Tech has to beat in Atlanta to maintain their position as a top-tier ACC program.
