Australian Adam Scott has placed his 2011 Masters Tournament chances in the hands of South African Charl Schwartzel, missing a long putt to wind up 12-under and just shy of the top of the leaderboard. Schwartzel needs only to make par on his final hole to earn the event victory.
On hole No. 17, Schwartzel drilled a long putt to give himself a birdie and the lead at 13-under. He's been among the most consistent players all week, and like Scott has had a very solid Sunday. He has one hole left to make his case for the green jacket.
Jason Day also shot 3-under today to wind up 12-under, setting up his final putt with his countryman Scott watching on the green after the two shared a high five. Geoff Ogilvy and Luke Donald are also done and tied with Tiger Woods at 10-under, with K.J. Choi at 10-under with a pair of holes left.
