2011 College Golf Championships Leaderboard: Georgia Tech Holds Lead With UGA Nearby

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets golf has led each of the first two rounds of the 2011 NCAA golf championships, with two other Georgia programs also making strong showings through Wednesday. The Georgia Bulldogs show up at fourth on the Karsten Creek leaderboard with a 3-over score, and the defending champ Augusta St. Jaguars are ranked No. 7 at 12-over. Tumbling from the top 10: the Kennesaw St. Owls, who went 25-over on the day to plummet to No. 26.

Tech and the UCLA Bruins are the only teams to beat par thus far, with the White and Gold's 3-under holding off UCLA's 2-under. That lead narrowed through Round 2, however, with the Jackets shooting 2-over and the Bruins shooting even par.

Elsewhere around the Southeast, the Alabama Crimson Tide appear at No. 5 and the Arkansas Razorbacks at No. 11, with the Duke Blue Devils second among ACC teams at No. 13.

Thursday's Round 3 marks the final round of field play, with the top eight seeds heading into match play rounds beginning Friday.
