2011 NCAA Golf Finals Score Update: Augusta State, UGA Split First Two Pairings

The 2011 NCAA golf championship's final day of head-to-head play is going to come down to the last three pairings. Augusta State and the Georgia Bulldogs each saw one of their players take a round early on, with UGA's Bryden MacPherson topping Olle Bengsston by six holes after trailing by one and Augusta State's Carter Newman cruising in with a seven-hole victory over T.J. Mitchell.

Still battling at Karsten Creek are top players Harris English and Patrick Reed, with ASU's Reed up by a hole through 12. The other two pairings are three-hole endeavors, with Mitchell Krywulycz leading Hudson Swafford through 14 and UGA's Russell Henley up on Henrik Norlander after 13.

A fight to the finish between the two Peach State aces could be in the cards.
