2012 U.S. Open Final Odds: Tiger Woods The Favorite, Bubba Watson A Longshot

The final odds for the 2012 U.S. Open have been released, and while Georgian Bubba Watson can boast a Masters win this year, the oddsmakers still expect Tiger Woods to win the tournament at 6:1, followed closely by Rory McIlory at 8:1. Here's a look at the top favorites under 30:1 odds:

  • Tiger Woods 6:1
  • Rory McIlroy 8:1
  • Lee Westwood 14:1
  • Luke Donald 14:1
  • Phil Mickelson 18:1
  • Martin Kaymer 22:1
  • Sergio Garcia 25:1

Following Garcia, there are 11 golfers listed at 33:1, including Watson, Padraig Harrington and Rickie Fowler. Watson has missed the cut twice in five career outings at the U.S. Open

While Woods occupies the top spot for almost every major, OddsShark profiled the betting heat around Lee Westwood, currently at 14:1, as a hot pick to win the major:

The world No. 3 golfer has 35 wins around the globe and after a couple of close calls at the US Open, Westwood could conquer the Olympic Club. At 12/1 odds, according to sportsbooks such as 5Dimes, he’s a good bet.
