2012 U.S. Open Leaderboard: Georgia Native Steve Marino Shoots +14

There are still quite a few golfers who have yet to play the first round of the 2012 U.S. Open, but of those who've already played their first 18 holes, no one has (yet) shot lower than St. Simons Island, GA native, Steve Marino at The Olympic Club.

Marino was a +14 on the day for a first round score of 84.

He started off by bogeying the first two holes of the course, both par fours. He made par on holes three and four but once again bogeyed back-to-back holes on four and five. He also bogeyed the eighth hole. Through the first nine holes, Marino bogeyed five of them.

The back nine was less kind as scored an eagle on the tenth hole but then proceeded to triple bogey both the 12th and 13th holes while also bogeying the next three holes thereafter. Marino would bogey on six holes of the back nine.
