Matt Kuchar is four shots behind leader Michael Thompson heading into Friday's second-round of the 2012 U.S. Open. Kuchar currently is one of eight other golfers who all shot an opening round of 70 or even par.
Jason Bohn also begins play on Friday at even par but was 3-under through 13 holes on Thursday before finishing his round with three bogeys on the last five holes. Bohn had to earn his way into the U.S. Open field winning a qualifying event last week at The River Club in Suwanee.
Bubba Watson is looking to turn things around on Friday after a disastrous 8-over opening round. Watson followed up his only birdie of the opening round at No. 17 with a double bogey at 18 to limp into the clubhouse. He will once again be paired with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson on Friday.
