2012 U.S. Open Golf Leaderboard: Former UGA, GSU golfer Blake Adams Charging

Former University of Georgia and Georgia Southern golfer Blake Adams has moved up near the top of the leaderboard on Friday, posting a -2 through 15 holes at Olympic Club. Adams is now tied for fifth at even par.

Adams bogeyed the second hole of the day, but has posted five birdies and two bogeys the rest of the way.

Michael Thompson remains the tournament leader at -4, as he recently began his second round. Georgia Tech alum Matt Kuchar's second round has finished, and he posted a rough +3 after even par on Thursday. He's in a tie for 25th place.

Behind Thompson are Tiger Woods, Jim Furyk and David Toms at -1. Furyk finished at -1, while Woods and Toms have not begun their rounds, yet.

Here is a look at the current leaderboard.
