The Atlanta Hawks have won five games in a row and will try to keep rolling when they host the Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night. After a difficult 2011-12 season, the Bobcats are off to a 7-5 this year and just a game behind Atlanta in the Southeast Division standings.
Eight games are on the NBA schedule Monday, including a contest between the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets. Both teams are off to good starts and they currently occupy the top two spots in the Atlantic Division.
Five games are scheduled for Tuesday, including a matchup between playoff teams from a year ago that are off to slow starts -- the Los Angeles Lakers will host the Indianapolis Pacers.
Wednesday is a busy one for the league, and in addition to Atlanta's game, there are other notable matchups: the Nets will meet the Celtics, the Spurs will face the Magic and the Mavericks play the Bulls.
On Thursday, the defending champion Miami Heat are in action against the Spurs.
