NBA scores: Atlanta picked up first win on Sunday

The Atlanta Hawks picked up their first win of the 2012 season on Sunday, defeating the Oklahoma City Thunder, 104-95.

The Atlanta Hawks picked up their first win of the 2012 season on Sunday, when the Hawks bested the defending Western Conference champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Al Horford led the Hawks in their win in both points and rebounds, scoring 23 points while grabbing 12 rebounds in Atlanta's 104-95 win over Oklahoma City.

The Hawks' win on Sunday night brought their record even at 1-1. Atlanta dropped its season opener on Friday, when the Hawks lost 109-102 to the Houston Rockets. James Harden led all scorers in Houston's win over Atlanta, with 45 points.

Atlanta trails the Orlando Magic by one full game in the Southeast division. The Magic are off to a 2-0 start, while the Miami Heat sit at 2-1, after losing on Friday to the New York Knicks, 104-82, and defeating the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, 119-116.

The Charlotte Bobcats are tied with the Hawks at 1-1, while the Washington Wizards are the only winless team in the division, at 0-2.
