The Atlanta Hawks just made it by the Indiana Pacers in the final minutes of their game Wednesday night, pulling ahead 85-83 with 1:04 left in the game and holding on for a 89-86 final.
Jeff Teague was the man who put the Hawks on top, taking a pass from Josh Smith and hitting a three-pointer, but it was Kyle Korver who drove the fourth-quarter comeback. He scored eight straight in the final 12 minutes, taking Atlanta from trailing by nine to just one.
Al Horford led the Hawks in scoring. The forward picked up 16 points, along with nine rebounds and one assist. Korver was behind Horford with 13 points. Zaza Pachulia had only six points on the night but picked up 14 rebounds.
David West and George Hill were the main contributors for Indiana, picking up 20 points each.
With the win, the Hawks move to 2-1. They next play on Friday night, when the Miami Heat come to Atlanta.
