The Atlanta Hawks had a fourth-quarter comeback win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night, 89-86, taking the game after a great effort by Kyle Korver. With the Hawks down by nine, the veteran guard picked up eight straight points on a pair of three-pointers and another bucket, bringing the team back in the game. Jeff Teague added five more points on two shots to put Atlanta ahead, and they held on for the win.
The Miami Heat were the only other winners in the Southeast Division, handing out a 103-73 beating to the Brooklyn Nets. LeBron James and company had a strong second half effort, outscoring the Nets 53-32.
The Charlotte Bobcats lost at home to the Phoenix Suns, 117-110, while the Washington Wizards and the Orlando Magic lost on the road. The Wizards fell to the Boston Celtics in overtime, 100-94, while Magic had their offense shut down by the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 90-75 loss.
In the Western Conference, DeAndre Jordan and Blake Griffin both had double-doubles as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the San Antonio Spurs, 106-84, and the Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Lakers, 95-86, to leave the Lakers at 1-4.
