Following the Atlanta Hawks loss to the Golden State Warriors, Golden State head coach Mark Jackson said the victory proved that his team is "for real." The Warriors came to Atlanta and knocked off the Hawks, 115-93, on Saturday.
"We bounced back and I think it's important for us to do that, to show that we're for real and we're going to be here for the long haul," Jackson said after his team improved to 16-8 on the year.
The loss dropped the Hawks to 14-7 on the season. It was just the fourth time this year that Atlanta has lost at Phillips Arena. Al Horford led the Hawks with 17 points and nine rebounds in the losing effort. Ivan Johnson and Jeff Teague were also in double-digits, scoring 15 and 10 points, respectively.
With the victory, Golden State capped off a 6-1 roadtrip that included wins over the Brooklyn Nets and Miami Heat.
