Hawks vs. 76ers final score: Atlanta drops second straight

The Hawks managed just 80 points in Friday's loss to the 76ers, which is their second lowest point total this season.

The Atlanta Hawks suffered their second loss in a row on Friday in a 99-80 defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers. For Philly, the victory snapped a five-game losing streak.

The 76ers held a modest lead for most of the first half and ran away in the fourth quarter, when they outscored the Hawks, 27-16. Philadelphia was led by Evan Turner (21 points, 5 rebounds) and Thaddeus Young (18 points, 11 rebounds). Jason Richardson scored 17 points.

Josh Smith had 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting in the loss for Atlanta. The rest of the Hawks starters were just 8 of 25 from the field. Lou Williams contributed 13 points off the bench, but also had four turnovers. Atlanta lost the rebounding battle, 45-37.

With the loss, the Hawks drop to 2.5 games behind the Miami Heat in the Southeast division. Miami was off on Friday, but faces the Utah Jazz on Saturday. Atlanta hosts the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
