2013 NBA schedule: Hawks face Pistons, Celtics in back-to-back

The Hawks play on the road in Detroit on Friday before returning home to face the struggling Celtics on Saturday.

The Atlanta Hawks travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons Friday before returning home for a date with the Boston Celtics on Saturday.

Atlanta has won five of their last six games, including a thrilling 126-119 double-overtime victory over Detroit on Dec. 26. The Hawks are a bit banged up heading into Friday's game, as Devin Harris and Anthony Morrow will sit out and Al Horford is battling a hip injury. Lou Williams will remain in the starting lineup at shooting guard, where he has excelled so far this season. The Pistons have won three games in a row since the double-overtime loss.

Boston will also be on the second of a back-to-back when they meet Atlanta on Saturday night at Philips Arena. The Celtics will try to end their four-game losing streak against the surging Indiana Pacers on Friday night.

Elsewhere in the Southeast Division, the first place Miami Heat take on the Derrick Rose-less Chicago Bulls Friday night before hosting the Washington Wizards on Sunday. The Wizards face the Brooklyn Nets on Friday before their contest against the Heat. The Charlotte Bobcats face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday before taking on the Pistons Sunday.
