The Brooklyn Nets, Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns lead the chase for Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith, according to Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski. While the Boston Celtics are still in the hunt should they find a smart way to blow up their core right now, it would appear that Brooklyn and Milwaukee are the best bets to land the versatile Hawks forward as of Wednesday.
That's because the Nets and Bucks have the most to offer Atlanta in a trade.
According to Wojnarowski, Brooklyn is offering the Hawks forward Kris Humphries, second-year guard MarShon Brooks, and a first-round pick or rights to Croatian guard Bojan Bogdanovic.
Milwaukee could send a package centered around guard Monta Ellis to Atlanta, but the Bucks are attempting to keep their scoring guard because Smith -- who has long voiced his desire to join a winning team -- would like to play with the backcourt duo of Ellis and point guard Brandon Jennings, according to ESPN's Chris Broussard.
Phoenix appears a long-shot considering their few assets, but remains highly interested.
