2012 Atlantic Sun Baseball Tournament Thursday Results

Here is a look at Thursday's results from the 2012 Atlantic Sun Baseball Tournament:

Stetson 1, USC Upstate 0

Stetson's Will Dorsey turned in a sterling performance firing a complete game two hit shutout against USC Upstate. After allowing a lead off single to begin the game, Dorsey retired 22 straight batters before surrendering a single in the eighth inning.

Kennesaw State 3, Belmont 1

The Kennesaw State Owls grabbed their first ever Division I post season win Thursday with a 3-1 victory over top-seeded Belmont. Ronnie Freeman went 2 for 4 with an RBI and Kevin Kyle picked up the win after allowing five hits and one unearned run in seven innings of work. Zak Griffith picks up the save while Belmont's Matt Hamann takes the loss.

Florida Gulf Coast 4, Mercer 3

Florida Gulf Coast scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth with the last coming on a walk-off RBI single by Andrew Valencia to capture a dramatic 4-3 win over Mercer. Jason Forjet pitched a complete game in the win and struck out 11 Mercer batters in the game.
