No. 3 seed Kennesaw State has advanced to the Atlantic Sun title game after defeating No. 4 seeded Florida Gulf Coast 13-4 and scored runs in six different innings. This was the second time these two schools met in the conference tournament, and the first time around Florida Gulf Coast got the best of Kennesaw State in the opening round.
In this game Kennesaw State got out to an early 4-0 lead after the first inning when Andy Chriscaden hit a grand slam, and he also had a two-RBI triple in the fifth inning. For the day Chriscaden ended up seven RBI to pace Kennesaw State.
Travis Dean was the winning pitcher for Kennesaw State as he pitched eight strong innings and allowed six hits and only one run.
With this win Kennesaw State now advances to the championship game and will play their second game of the day which will be against top-seeded Belmont.
