After a close game against the Tennessee Volunteers and a win against South Carolina State to open the season, the Kennesaw State Owls have lost seven-consecutive games, but look to snap that trend against the No. 22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Wednesday night.
The Owls will certainly be huge underdogs against the 10-1 Irish, who enter with an eight-game winning streak of their own. Among the wins during the streak was a 64-50 upset victory against then-No. 8 Kentucky. Their sole loss on the season was an overtime loss to St. Joseph's in November.
To earn a victory, Kennesaw State will have to play much, much better on offense and will need to rebound better. They rank on the outside of the top 300 in the nation in both points and rebounds through the first nine games. Only Markeith Cummings has averaged more than 10 points per game for the Owls.
