NASCAR at Kansas: Greg Biffle Leads As Chasers Surge, Drop Early

Greg Biffle started from the pole for today's Hollywood Casino 400, and he has led the opening laps of the today's 400-miler at the Kansas Speedway relatively uncontested. Chase contenders Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth run second and third, followed by Kasey Kahne and Martin Truex Jr. The top-10 is rounded out by Jeff Gordon, Paul Menard, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, and Denny Hamlin.

After starting outside the front row, Carl Edwards stropped like a rock in the opening circuits. His drop through the field included a close call as his Ford jumped sideways exiting the fourth turn underneath Truex's Toyota. The Missouri native is currently shown in 12th position at the track at which he has said a Sprint Cup victory would be on par with a Daytona 500 triumph.

Johnson and Tony Stewart are among the Chasers on the move. Johnson started 19th but quickly made his way into the top-10, while Stewart has steadily climbed from his 23rd-place starting spot to move into 13th.
