NASCAR At Kansas Update: Jimmie Johnson Still Dominating Dull Race

Kansas Speedway races have never set the world on fire in terms of on-track excitement. Occasional thrilling late race duels have taken place, but in general, races aren't exciting and today's Hollywood Casino 400 has followed that pattern.

Jimmie Johnson has been on a Sunday drive as he seeks his second win of the season and his second victory at the 1.5-mile oval. With just under 80 laps remaining, he leads Tony Stewart, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, and Jeff Gordon. The top-10 is filled out by Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer, Mark Martin, Greg Biffle, and Kasey Kahne.

Carl Edwards' day-long struggle has finally dropped him off the lead lap. He runs 17th, a lap down and ahead of only Ryan Newman (25th) among Chase contending drivers. Kevin Harvick, who entered the day tied with Edwards for the championship lead, runs only 15th. Kurt Busch is shown in 14th place, while Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Denny Hamlin hold the 11th and 12th positions.
