The Great American Race is in it’s early stages, but already, there has been drama for one of the favorites.
Contact with Michael Watlrip sent Kyle Busch spinning through the first turn, drawing the race’s first caution. Busch’s No. 18 M&Ms Toyota Camry was undamaged in the crash, but he fell to the rear of the field.
The second yellow flew a few laps later as J.J. Yeley, who raced his way into the Daytona 500 on Thursday, suffered an apparent blown motor in his Whitney Motorsports Chevrolet.
Brad Keselowski leads after 15 laps. He did not pit with most of the leaders under the caution for Yeley’s engine failure.
