Kyle Busch is the reigning king of the Bristol Motor Speedway.
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver scored his 20th career victory, his first win of the 2011 season, his fifth in Sprint Cup racing at Bristol, and his fifth-consecutive in NASCAR-sanctioned events at the track.
Polesitter Carl Edwards was second, followed by Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, and Paul Menard. Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle, Kasey Kahne, and Ryan Newman rounded out the top-10.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. rebounded from a pit-road speeding penalty to finish 11th. Mark Martin came home 12th despite a late flat right front tire, and Bobby Labonte overcame a spin to record a 13th place finish. The top-fifteen was filled out by Jeff Gordon and Marcos Ambrose.
The race featured two multi-car accidents, both of which involved Trevor Bayne and played havoc with Richard Childress Racing's chances.
In the first crash, Jeff Burton had a tire go down and slowed in front of a pack of cars exiting turn four.. Bayne ran into the back of Burton and was run into by David Reutimann, triggering an accident that collected Brad Keselowski, Jamie McMurray, and Brian Vickers, and Denny Hamlin.
The second happened when Kasey Kahne, running fifth, had to check up exiting the second turn. Kevin Harvick took evasive action and was tagged by Mark Martin, sending Harvick for a spin. In the stack-up, Bayne piled under the back of Juan Pablo Montoya, while Clint Bowyer ran in the back of McMurray. Bowyer's engine blew not long therafter.
