NASCAR Sprint Cup point leader Kyle Busch is behind the wall after crashing out of the Lenox Industrial Tools 301.
Busch was running behind Dale Earnhardt Jr. when his right front tire blew, sending him into the third turn wall with enough force to lift his Toyota off the ground. Busch immediately took his machine behind the wall, where his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing crew will enact repairs. Busch had made contact with Earnhardt prior, possibly cutting the tire.
Busch took over the points lead with his win last week at the Kentucky Speedway. His wreck handed the top spot to his elder brother, Kurt Busch who was leading the race at the time of his accident.
Ryan Newman, the polesitter, picked up the race lead under caution. Mark Martin, Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, and Martin Truex Jr. round out the top-five. The top-10 is filled out by Jamie McMurray, Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Greg Biffle, and Jeff Burton.
