The Chase for the Sprint Cup continues this weekend when NASCAR shifts to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Bank of America 500 on Saturday night.
Sprint Cup qualifying will start at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The Bank of America 500 will start at 7:46 p.m. on Saturday.
In the Nationwide series, qualifying begins at 4 p.m. on Friday. The Dollar General 300 will start at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Matt Kenseth, who took the win in last week's race at Talladega, won last year's Bank of America 500. Kenseth is last (12th) in the standings for the Chase for the Sprint Cup with 2,117 points.
Brad Keselowski sits in first with 2,179 points. Jimmie Johnson is second with 2,165 points, while Denny Hamlin (2,156) is third.
Kasey Kahne won the first race at Charlotte this year -- the Coca-Cola 600 -- on May 27.
The Bank of America 500, the sixth-to-last race this season, is the only night race during the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
