After winning back-to-back Sprint Cup races, Jimmie Johnson finds himself in control of NASCAR's Chase for the Sprint Cup heading into this weekend's race at Phoenix International Raceway. Only two races remain in the Chase, and Johnson could all but lock up a victory with a strong performance. Johnson is in search of his seventh Cup win this season and sixth championship overall.
Johnson is seven points ahead of 28-year-old Brad Keselowski, who is in search of his first Cup title. Keselowski has battled Johnson hard the past few weeks, even banging doors with the Cup leader as the two fought for the lead at Texas. Phoenix will be especially tough for Keselowski to make up ground, as it is one of Johnson's best tracks.
The qualifying for the race will take place at 6 p.m. ET on Friday on Speed. The actual race is on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.
