Though there's no points involved, this should still be a fun NASCAR weekend -- and a bit of a reprieve for drivers. The NASCAR All-Star race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will be held on Saturday night, which is chalk full of fun NASCAR festivities.
The Sprint Showdown kicks things off on Saturday, and that will begin at 7:36 p.m. ET. The Sprint Showdown is a quick, 40 lap race which determines which two additional drivers will get to race in the All-Star race later at night.
The All-Star race itself is not scheduled to begin until just after 9 p.m. ET -- with an approximate time for the green flag being dropped at 9:12 p.m.
