With WrestleMania 27 set for Sunday in the Georgia Dome, the WWE is about to be all over the place in Atlanta. Even more so than usual, I guess. Here's the week's complete event schedule:
Tuesday, March 29
WrestleMania Night at Turner Field, 6 pm ET: Enormous individual Mark Henry and others will sign autographs before the Atlanta Braves game against the Minnesota Twins, assuming it isn't rained out like today's was. If it does, the event will be held in the shadow of Mark Henry.
Wednesday, March 30
WrestleMania Art, 5:30 pm ET: The Fox Theatre hosts an event billed as a showcase of "artistic works of WWE superstars," a phrase that could lead one to hold out hope that these are artistic works by WWE superstars, in which case the bidding for a beer-splattered canvas studiously graced by Stone Cold will be the high draw. This has been a pro wrestling joke. Thanks for reading!
Thursday, March 31 through Sunday, April 3
WrestleMania Axxess: This is happening at the Georgia World Congress Center. It seems to be a whole lot of things all at once. The last time I went to the GWCC, it was packed full of Auburn and South Carolina fans. The same should again be true this time around.
Saturday, April 2
2011 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, 8 pm ET: Shawn Michaels is the biggest name in this year's class, which will be honored at Philips Arena.
Sunday, April 3
WrestleMania 27, 6:30 pm ET: This is a pretty big wrestling show, to be held at the Georgia Dome.
