Edge Vs. Alberto Del Rio For World Heavyweight Title Headlines WWE WrestleMania 27 Matches

As a long-prodigal pro wrestling fan who's trying to catch up in time for WrestleMania 27, I'm going to be honest: I've never heard of Alberto Del Rio, who's apparently had a decade-long career as a MMA fighter and Mexican luchador. So it's with great surprise I discovered he has a title shot against Edge, a wrestler I recall jumping off of all sorts of furniture with his little Canadian brother.

Match background: Del Rio won a chance at Edge's World Heavyweight Championship belt by winning the 2011 Royal Rumble, completing the rookie's Goldberg-esque (there will be many Goldberg references!) run through the WWE. In his first match he beat Rey Mysterio, and I'm having a hard time finding any match he's lost in at least two minutes worth of Googling that hasn't involved me typing alberto del rio loses.

Prediction: A title win would be too much, too soon. Del Rio is actually heavily favored, but I'm not buying it. Edge is on a WrestleMania losing streak going back to 2006. You say regression fallacy, I say EDGE WINS!
