The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets had their opportunities to win the game, but special teams breakdowns and inefficiencies in the passing game led to 42-34 loss to the Georgia Bulldogs.

After Scott Blair missed the extra point which would the time the game at 35, Georgia looked to add more insurance to their lead, but Aaron Murray, who has been excellent all game long fumbled the snap on fourth-and-one on the Tech 24-yard line.

But Tech could not capitalize as they went four-and-out and that led to a Washaun Ealey 20-yard touchdown run. However Tech wanted Ealey to score because they wanted the ball back. Tech should have reconsidered because Telvin Washington threw an interception to Justin Houston and the Bulldogs take down the Jackets for the second consecutive year. Georgia finishes the season at 6-6 and is now bowl eligible. Tech drops to 6-6 and will have a bad taste in their mouth for a month before they play their bowl game.

Despite both teams having not great seasons, it was a good game an if both teams improve on defense, they will be better teams in 2011.

After Georgia Tech forced the Georgia offense to a three-and-out, the Yellow Jacket offense got back on track thanks to a healthy dose of Anthony Allen who scored on a 8-yard touchdown run. However Georgia Tech kicker Scott Blair missed the extra point and the Bulldogs still lead 35-34 with less than five minutes left in the game.

Allen is having himself a game, rushing for 166 yards on 29 carries and one touchdown. And all the times Allen has carried the ball, it has been up the middle; nothing to the left, nothing to the right.

So Georgia needs to score on the ensuing drive because they can't stop Tech at all. Thanks to Blair, they are still in the lead, but they need to finish this game because that is something they have not done all year long.

This is going to be a very interesting end to this game. I did not expect this.

It was just another successful series for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets as they drive the ball 71 yards on 12 plays to end it with a Telvin Washington 1-yard touchdown run the cut the Georgia Bulldogs lead 35-28. The play of the drive had to be when Washington called his own number and rushed for 29 yard to put the Yellow Jackets deep in UGA territory.

Washington is having a solid game so far with 67 yards passing and 72 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Anthony Allen is eating up the Bulldog defense with 123 yards on 24 carries. Overall, the Yellow Jackets have 356 yards rushing compared to Georgia who has 112.

Now the momentum has shifted to Georgia Tech because they have the ball after forcing a Georgia three-and-out. Can the Georgia defense come up with a big stop, or can Tech tie the game and come away with another win in Athens?

The Georgia Bulldogs earned their last two scores. After Tech tied the game at 21, Washaun Ealey fumbled and Tech recovered. The Tech offense drive stalled and were forced to punt, but Branden Smith muffed the return and was recovered by Isaiah Johnson and Tech was on the verge of taking the lead for the first time.

That didn't happen because Roddy Jones fumbled at the Georgia 15-yard line and was recovered by Akeem Dent. That led to a 8-play, 80-yard drive which ended with a Ealey 1-yard touchdown run to put the Georgia Bulldogs up 28-21.

The Bulldogs were able to add on to their lead because Justin Houston recovered a Telvin Washington fumble and returned it for a touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 35-21 towards the end of the third quarter. There is still a lot of football to be played, but it seems Georgia is pulling away from their arch-rivals.

It was important for Georgia to score before halftime because the Jackets is on fire. On the first play of the second half, Tech opened the game with a Telvin Washington 40-yard pass to Stephen Hill. That led to a Embry Peeples 19-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 14.

It's safe to say the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have the Georgia Bulldogs on tilt because the Bulldog defense has no answer for the Tech offense. Washington is 4-for-4 passing with 64 yards. The Yellow Jackets leading rusher is Anthony Allen who has 86 yards on 14 carries. Roddy Jones has 60 yards on six carries and one touchdown.

Georgia looked to answer, but Washaun Ealey fumble deep in Georgia Tech territory and a was recovered by Tech. Things are not looking good for Georgia. They have already turned the ball over twice and do not have an answer for Tech's offense. This would be a devastating loss for UGA if things don't change.

To say these two teams are different when it comes to the style of offense they run is an understatement. After Tech using six and a half minutes to score their second touchdown of the game to tie it at 14, the Georgia Bulldogs came roaring back with an Aaron Murray 3-yard touchdown pass to Bruce Figgins to put the Bulldogs up 21-14 right before halftime.

It took UGA only 1:15 to take back the lead thanks to two big runs by Washaun Ealey and a Murray 17-yard pass to Kris Durham. So far Murray has 220 passing yards and three touchdowns on 11-of-14 passing. He is showing why he one of the best young quarterback in college football and should only get better next year.

One thing is for sure, both defenses need to make some major adjustments because Tech can't stop Murray and UGA can't stop Tech's run game. Sounds fitting doesn't it?

It looked as if the Georgia Bulldogs were going to pull away, as they were up by seven and looking to convert a fourth-and-one at the Tech five-yard line. But Aaron Murray ran the QB sneak for no gain and Georgia turned it over on downs. That led to a Tech drive which went 90 yards on 14 plays and ended with a Roddy Jones 12-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 14 late in the second quarter.

It was a series where Tech ran the ball 13 times and threw only once. The Yellow Jackets used a lot of Anthony Allen, Jones and Orwin Smith and the UGA defense had no answer for the Georgia Tech running game. UGA defensive coordinator Todd Grantham has to do something with his front seven alignment because the Tech offense is running up the middle at will. If they don't make the adjustments, it's going to be a long game for the Bulldogs.

After three offensive series that led to zero point the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets finally got on the board thanks to a 10-play, 71-yard drive which ended with a Telvin Washington 1-yard touchdown run as the Jackets trail 14-7 early in the second quarter.

To nobody's surprise, Tech has thrown zero passes in the series. In fact, Washington has not attempted as pass in the game with all the calls by Paul Johnson being run plays. Obviously, Johnson fells comfortable calling all run plays against the Georgia defense, and it's working because the Tech offense was able to run plays off the edge against the UGA defensive front.

Can Tech keep up the momentum and try to make a comeback? It could happen. But the Tech defense has to make a play because the Georgia offense threw all over the Yellow Jackets in the first quarter and the start of the second quarter..
