<p>Former <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/georgia-bulldogs">Georgia Bulldogs</a> signee Dexter Moody has enrolled at Georgia State, and will be eligible to play for the Panthers in 2011, sources have confirmed. <a href="http://blogs.ajc.com/recruiting/2011/02/10/former-uga-signee-dexter-moody-is-in-football-purgatory-in-south-georgia/">The linebacker's status has been up in the air since March 2009</a>, when UGA revoked his letter-of-intent after he was suspended by his high school team for threatening a teacher.</p>
<p>Moody played at Twin City, Georgia's Emanual County Institute and counts fellow Athens departee <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/78605/washaun-ealey">Washaun Ealey</a> among his friends. Rated a three-star LB out of high school, he was ranked the No. 17 at his position in the country and the No. 23 prospect in the state -- though of course that's all based on a high school career that ended years ago.</p>
<p>Considering starting OLB <a href="http://atlanta.sbnation.com/georgia-st-panthers/2011/3/10/2041869/drew-little-fred-barnes-suspended-olufemi-opanubi-georgia-state-football">Femi Opanubi was dismissed from the team</a> before spring practice, Moody could be in line to start as early as Week 1 if all goes well. Moody had previously mentioned the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/florida-gators">Florida Gators</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/central-michigan-chippewas">Central Michigan Chippewas</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/cincinnati-bearcats">Cincinnati Bearcats</a> and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/uab-blazers">UAB Blazers</a> among programs with whom he was trying to catch on. After leaving Georgia he attended a Kansas community college while trying to find the next step of his football career.</p>
