<p>The <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/atlanta-falcons">Atlanta Falcons</a> come in at <a href="http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d823e79c5/article/week-10-ravens-49ers-locked-in-tie-for-no-2-behind-packers?campaign=Twitter_news" target="_blank">No. 14 on NFL.com's power rankings this week</a> after their 31-7 dismantling of the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.stampedeblue.com/">Indianapolis Colts</a> on Sunday.</p>
<p>The Falcons have now won three in a row after starting the season with a rocky 2-3 start. Wins against the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.catscratchreader.com/">Carolina Panthers</a>, <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.prideofdetroit.com/">Detroit Lions</a> and Colts have brought the Falcons right back into the hunt for the playoffs. </p>
<p>The Falcons (5-3) trail the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/">New Orleans Saints</a> (6-3) by a half-game in the NFC south division. They meet this week in Atlanta in a game with huge playoff implications for both teams. Tampa Bay has dropped two in a row to fall to 4-4 on the season and give Atlanta a shot at the division lead with a win over the Saints this weekend.</p>
<p>The rest of the NFC South has the New Orleans Saints coming in at No. 6 this week, Tampa Bay at No. 18 and Carolina at No. 23. </p>

<p>A win against the Saints on Sunday would solidify the Falcons place in the NFC playoff picture.</p> <p>Blowing out the 0-9 <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.stampedeblue.com/">Indianapolis Colts</a> is nice, but it doesn't get you much credibility nationally. In <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2011/11/8/2546761/nfl-power-rankings-2011-week-10-green-bay-packers">the latest NFL Power Rankings from SBNation</a>, the Atlanta Falcons are the lowest ranked five-win team in the league at No. 14:</p>

<p><span style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'Liberation Sans', FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px;">14. </span><a href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/atlanta-falcons" style="outline-width: 0px; outline-style: initial; outline-color: initial; font-size: 14px; vertical-align: baseline; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial; color: #c52126; font-weight: bold; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'Liberation Sans', FreeSans, sans-serif; line-height: 18px; padding: 0px; margin: 0px; border: 0px initial initial;">Atlanta Falcons</a><span style="color: #333333; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, 'Liberation Sans', FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 18px;"> (5-3, LW: 19): Three in a row for the Falcons and they grab a share of first place next week against the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="https://www.canalstreetchronicles.com/">Saints</a>.</span></p>
</blockquote>
<p>Now, after a three-game win streak, the Falcons host New Orleans in their biggest game of the season.</p>
<p>An Atlanta victory would put them in a tie for first-place in the NFC South, while a loss would drop them to 5-4 and put them in a dogfight just to get one of the NFC's two wild-card spots.</p>
<p><span>Julio Jones</span> breakout game against Indianapolis, where he scored the first two TD's of his NFL career, couldn't have come at a better time, as the Falcons will need all their offensive firepower to defeat <span>Drew Brees</span> and the Saints.</p>
