Former Sandy Creek High School wide receiver JaQuay Williams will make an official visit to the Georgia Bulldogs.

JaQuay Williams, the state of Georgia's top-ranked wide receiver prospect last year, will visit the University of Georgia on an official visit according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The 6'4 Williams signed with Auburn out of Sandy Creek High School last year, but was unable to meet NCAA requirements and enrolled at Fork Union Military Academy in Virginia. Williams quickly committed to the Tigers again in September of this year, but with the job status of head coach Gene Chizik in the air, Williams is looking at all his options.

Williams will make two official visits in the coming weeks, starting with a trip to Texas A&M this weekend to watch the Aggies take on the Sam Houston State Bearkats. He will then make the trip to Athens to watch the Bulldogs take on cross-state rivals Georgia Tech.

Williams is listed as a four-star recruit according to the 247 Sports Composite, which averages the recruiting rankings of all the major recruiting services.

Steven Nelson, who committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs last February, has reportedly backed off of his commitment, and no longer plans to play for Mark Richt next season.

Steven Nelson, who committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs last February, has reportedly backed off of his commitment, and no longer plans to play for Mark Richt next season.

"Steven did de-commit from Georgia but he has not committed anywhere else right now," Fred Zepeda, the defensive backs coach at the College of Sequoias junior college, told the AJC.

According to Nelson's coach, a lack of communication between Georgia and Nelson strained the relationship, and eventually led to Nelson breaking off his commitment to Georgia. Per the AJC, Nelson and Georgia defensive coordinator Todd Grantham barely communicated.

Nelson's decision will reportedly come down to Oregon State and Texas Tech, and the defensive back recently visited the Beavers facility in October. Nelson will reportedly decide between the two schools sometime before Christmas.

Rated as the No. 2 defensive back from junior colleges by 247sports, Nelson's loss will hurt Georgia's 2013 recruiting class, but it could potentially help Georgia's chances in recruiting other defensive backs.

Regardless, Nelson's decision to back off his commitment is not what Richt or Bulldogs fans wanted to hear.

Despite a season-ending injury, Toby Johnson remains hopeful he'll hear from the Bulldogs soon

Toby Johnson, the top ranked junior college prospect in the nation is waiting to hear from Georgia head coach Mark Richt, after sustaining a season-ending injury last week.

The 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle from Huchinson Junior College has recruiting visits lined up to numerous top-flight schools, but waits to hear from Richt following his knee injury, which is believed could be a tear in the ACL and MCL. Johnson remains at the top of the Bulldogs' board for 2013, and isn't too worried about his status, based on his words to the media Thursday:

"I haven't talked to Coach Mark Richt," Johnson said. "I've talked to Tennessee, Mississippi State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Miami ... I've talked to everybody but Georgia. They usually call sometime during the week. They're going to call later, I'm sure."

Toby Johnson has only taken one official visit to Oklahoma, but it's certain we'll see him head to UGA before long. Planning to enroll in the Spring, he will have plenty of time to recover from his injury, depending on its severity (an MRI is scheduled for this week). Even if Toby Johnson is unable to play immediately, he still has another year as a redshirt he can use if needed.

Five-star recruit Montravius Adams visited Georgia with his mother over the weekend. She enjoyed, which is a good thing for the Bulldogs.

Whatever decision 2013 recruit Montravius Adams makes on where he plays college football, his mother is expected to play an important role. As the Atlanta Journal-Constitution tells it, that's a good thing for UGA. Adams and his mother Debbie Young visited Georgia's campus over the weekend and she said it was her best one - topping two trips to Auburn and one to Florida.

Adams, a 6-foot-4, 310-pound defensive tackle from Dooly County High School, is a 5-star recruit and ranked as a No. 2 prospect. Reports indicate that the Bulldogs are desperate to land either Adams or junior college prospect Toby Johnson at defensive tackle, or maybe both in the 2013 recruiting class.

Adams has said that he won't go to a school that his mother doesn't approve of. Based on her interview with the AJC, that doesn't appear to be the case with UGA.

"I enjoyed Georgia better than the other two places I've been; I enjoyed Georgia real good because ... I don't know ... they just make me feel like family, I guess," Young said. "Auburn and Florida, they made me feel good. But I just feel more comfortable at Georgia."

The Bulldogs are currently chasing an SEC title with only Auburn left on its conference schedule.

Five-star recruit Montravius Adams will visit the University of Georgia on Saturday when the Bulldogs play the Ole Miss Rebels.

Five-star defensive tackle recruit Montravius Adams will visit the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday when they face the Mississippi Rebels. Adams, a 6'4, 310-pound defensive tackle from Dooly County High School, will also bring his mother along for the trip. Adams has said that he has wanted his mother to help him with his college selection, according to Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

That's why it was so surprising when Adams watched the Bulldogs play against the Tennessee Volunteers last month, he was not with his mother. The Bulldogs know that winning over mom can go a long way as to whether Adams will commit.

The No. 1 recruit in the nation, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche, will also be visiting on Saturday, though the Bulldogs are considered a long shot for landing him. He will be at Saturday's game to watch his brother Denzel, who leads the Rebels in tackles.

The Bulldogs are scheduled to play the Rebels at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday in Athens, Ga. The game will be televised nationally on CBS.

The defensive end prospect will be in town to watch his brother's Ole Miss team take on the Bulldogs Saturday.

Defensive end Robert Nkemdiche will visit Georgia this weekend; his brother, who plays for Ole Miss, will be in town to take on the Bulldogs. Nkemdiche, who is one of the top prospects in the class of 2013, is currently committed to Clemson but he has been exploring his options nonetheless.

"With Georgia, you never know what could happen," Nkemdiche wrote recently for ESPN.com. "I could start falling in love again after I visit. They have open arms toward me and I have open arms to them going in. We will see what happens."

The Georgia native is considered the top defensive end prospect and No. 1 overall prospect in the 2013 class by both Rivals.com and Scout.com. He is also considering Ole Miss and has scholarship offers from programs throughout the southeast. He committed to Clemson in June.

Georgia's game against the Rebels is set for 3:30 p.m. ET, with television coverage by CBS.

Georgia Bulldogs 2013 commit Tramel Terry is taking another unofficial visit to Clemson in two weeks.

Georgia Bulldogs 2013 commit Tramel Terry is taking an official visit to Georgia this weekend, but he's then following that up with a trip to Clemson the following weekend. The four-star wide receiver visited Clemson a few weeks ago, and there has been much speculation that Tramel will change his commitment.

Tramel has already committed publicly to Georgia twice, which has to make these trips to Clemson rather troubling for Bulldogs coach Mark Richt. Tramel has largely avoided commenting on his situation to the media, but that changed this week (via The Atlanta Journal-Constitution):

"I'm not talking about (recruiting) right now ... I'm the one who has to make the decision and live with it for the next four years. I don't want any added pressure on me by talking about it now."

Those words do not sound too promising for Georgia, although they could also mean very little. The Bulldogs are hoping that Tramel's close friendship with quarterback Brice Ramsey, who is also committed to Georgia, will help sway his decision.

Keeping Tramel would be huge for Georgia, as he's an athlete that can play multiple positions. While he's listed as a wide receiver, he has also seen time at running back. He has also upside as a corner.

Four-star linebacker recruit Naim Mustafaa is taking all his official visits, but he is still committed to play for the Georgia Bulldogs next fall.

Despite taking an official visit to the Tennessee Volunteers when they played the Alabama Crimson Tide, four-star linebacker recruit Naim Mustafaa maintains in an interview with Michael Carvell of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he is still committed to play next season for the Georgia Bulldogs despite not being able to put a percentage on just how committed he is:

"I couldn't put any percentage on it. It's still the same. I'm still committed to Georgia, and there's no reason for a change. I'm just taking my visits."

The 6'4, 235-pound recruit from Alpharetta, Ga. is the son of former NFL player Najee Mustafaa (Reggie Rutland) who played his college football for the Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets are still trying to sway Mustafaa to play for the same school that his father played for. While he hasn't scheduled an official visit, he may check out a game soon at his father's alma mater.

Mustafaa also has an official visit scheduled for the Oklahoma St. Cowboys within the next two weeks and will tour the Georgia campus at some point. Last weekend, Mustafaa watched the Bulldogs upset the Florida Gators. He paid particular attention to linebacker Jarvis Jones, who plays the same position that Mustafaa is being recruited for.
