According to CBSSports.com's Ken Berger, the Atlanta Hawks could be looking to find a buyer for guard Kirk Hinrich, and one possible destination could be the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Hawks won't find a taker for Joe Johnson and the $90 million he has coming to him over the next four years, but rival executives believe Kirk Hinrich could be on the move -- perhaps filling the gaping two-guard hole on the Clippers. That depends on the asking price, as the Clips' assets were diminished in the Chris Paul trade. Execs are torn on what strategy Atlanta ownership will pursue after the sale of the team fell through in November. With a healthy Al Horford, the Hawks almost certainly would be the third-best team in the East. But at some point down the road, a league source said, ownership may "keep Horford and try to dump the rest."

This is not the first time that trade rumors have swirled around Hinrich and the Clippers aren't the first potential buyer. Hinrich, a 10-year veteran, is averaging five points per game in his first and likely only year with the Hawks, but his career average is 12.8 points per game. If a team like the Clippers, who could use some help at guard, is interested, Hinrich could find himself part of another trade.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Los Angeles Lakers could be interested in pursuing a trade with the Atlanta Hawks for Kirk Henrich.

According to ESPN's Marc Stein, the Los Angeles Lakers could be interested in acquiring Atlanta Hawks guard Kirk Hinrich if they are unable to find an elite point guard to help them through the second half of the 2012 season.

If the Lakers can't make a splashy move for the elite point guard they crave -- a long shot at best at this point -- and can't swing a deal for top fallback choice Ramon Sessions, taking Hinrich and his $8.1 million salary into their $8.9 million Lamar Odom trade exception is a natural move to give L.A. some semblance of an upgrade in the backcourt going into the postseason.

Stein mentions that Hinrich is no longer a part of their plans in the future and, in order to reduce their payroll, they would happily trade him in exchange for a future draft pick. He also wrote that the Lakers would want the Hawks to take back some of Hinrich's salary in the deal but that will not happen.

Hinrich has only started one game for the Hawks in the 19 he's played in this season and is averaging 4.8 points per game, a career low, but he has averaged 12.8 points per game in his 10-year career. The Lakers starting point guard Derek Fisher has averaged six points per game in the last 10 games and 5.5 on the season.
