After making a comeback and taking a lead in the third quarter, the Atlanta Hawks ran out of gas late and fall to Milwaukee 108-101. Atlanta erased a nine point halftime deficit by outscoring the Bucks 33-23 in the third quarter. However, this time around they couldn't sustain it as Monta Ellis put the Hawks down for good with his best night since being traded to Milwaukee.

For Atlanta, Josh Smith put up more dazzling numbers. 30 points, 18 rebounds, five assists on 14-26 shooting in 39 minutes of action. Once again he was the best player on the floor but needed a little more help this time around. Ivan Johnson scored a career high 17 points off the bench and Jeff Teague finished with 15 points and seven assists but was also saddled with seven turnovers.

Joe Johnson and Marvin Williams finish with 11 points each while Kirk Hinrich rounds out Atlanta scorers in double figures with 10. Johnson had a tough go of it after leaving the game to get stitches after taking an inadvertent elbow from Zaza Pachulia. Johnson finished just 4-14 from the field but did have eight assists in the game. Atlanta turned the ball over 21 times and Milwaukee took advantage of the extra opportunities.

Monta Ellis turned in his best night since joining the Bucks finishing with 33 points and eight assists. Brandon Jennings added 16 points and six assists while Drew Gooden added 16 points and five rebounds. Mike Dunleavy chipped in 13 points off the bench for the Bucks.
