The Atlanta Dream used a strong first-half performance to defeat the Chicago Sky, 82-71. The Dream had outscored the Sky by 17 points at the end of the first half, and looked to have the game all wrapped up. However, the Sky made a third-quarter run to cut into the Dream's lead and make it an eight-point game heading into the final frame. In the fourth quarter, the Dream were able to hold off the Sky to win by 11 points.

The defense played well for the Dream as they held the Sky to only 40 percent shooting from the field and 21 percent from three-point range.

The Dream had four players who scored in double figures, with Sancho Lyttle leading all scorers with 24 points, grabbing seven rebounds and handing out five assists.

The slumping Chicago Sky come to Atlanta on Wednesday night to face off against the Dream.

Atlanta is playing its first home game since June 26, after which it had a road trip and a break for the Olympics.

The Sky have lost 11 of their last 12, having started the season 7-1. Sky star Epiphanny Prince may miss Wednesday's game. Prince recently returned from a foot injury, but she reportedly rolled her ankle on Tuesday night against New York.

Angel McCoughtry, who leads the league in scoring, will hope to carry the Dream to a win, which would bring them back to .500.

Atlanta, at 10-11, currently trails Indiana by 1.5 games for second place in the Eastern Conference. The Dream fell to Indiana on Saturday night, and will look to recover with tougher defense.

Wednesday's game begins at 7 p.m. ET, and can be viewed live and on-demand here.
