Craig Ramsay Tees Off On NHL Team Ownership After Thrashers Relocation

Pop quiz! Which NHL ownership group is former Atlanta Thrashers coach Craig Ramsay upset with here:

I never got a phone call from the [REDACTED]. None of us did ... At least then the communication is open and you've spoken to the ([REDACTED owners), and that didn't happen. It's disappointing.

The fact that they dragged it out meant there were jobs that were going by the wayside while we were under the assumption that perhaps [REDACTED] was interested in bringing our group along. It was a month or more just sitting by the phone, waiting for things to happen while you are under obligation not to talk to other teams because of tampering charges.

Surprise! Ramsay is upset with the new Winnipeg Jets ownership group, not the deposed Atlanta Spirit Group. I won't be the first to say this by any means, but if the delay the Winnipeg group imposed on Ramsay and other Thrashers employees is indicative of the way they do business, the franchise really hasn't gotten as big an ownership upgrade as we'd assumed.
